Was employed by Reliance Insurance Company in the Specialty Division for sixteen years (1983-1999) before shutdown of office in December of 1999. Last 3 years with RSD in a full time underwriting position in (1)Manufacturers & Contractors Specialty, specializing but not limited to Roofing Contractors (two and a half years) and (2)Transportation Specialty (trucking and public) for nine months. Ending Salary: $52,300 annually with bonus determined by branch and regional profitability.
Balance of my experience at Reliance Specialty Division was as Lead Account Executive Associate/Assistant working primarily with the Vice President/Branch Manager on larger casualty and auto driven accounts. Also, had underwriting authority for a nationwide Ski Area Auto program for three years in addition to Associate responsibilies.
Prior to Reliance, I worked at Aetna Insurance/Cravens Dargan (1973-1983) in rating/underwriting assistant positions (which included training responsibilities) for a total of nine years and ten months. For the last four years, until nine months after their merger with INA, I was Commercial Package/Property/Casualty Rating Supervisor.
I am now looking for an Underwriting/Account Executive position or Associate Underwriting/Account Executive position in the Seattle, Washington area.
